Anambra female lawyer who brutalized maid surrenders after N2 million bounty declared on her
Adachukwu Okafor, a female who allegedly brutalized her maid beyond recognition has surrendered herself to the Police and reports said, she will be arraigned in Court any moment from now.
The female lawyer was said to have committed the heinous crime and went underground after reactions from Nigerians that she should be arrested and punished.
Her disappearance became a source of worry to security agents and the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, had placed a N2m bounty on her.
Media Aide to the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Welfare in Anambra, Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, in a statement on Friday confirmed the development that the wanted lawyer has surrendered to the Police in Awka, Capital of Anambra State.
Mrs. Okafor allegedly used knives and other sharp objects to inflict injuries on the minor, Happiness Nwafor.
Speaking on the development, Obinabo stated that the suspect Adachukwu will be arraigned before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate Court in Awka next week.
The victim is however, recuperating and is set to be discharged from the hospital.
