President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Maman Daura has been reportedly flown abroad aboard a private jet for urgent medical attention.
Daura who is Buhari’s confidant was said to have respiratory complications since Friday.
There are fears that the octogenarian was suffering from COVID-19, according to Sahara Reporters, an online news outlet based in New York.
Report said the 79 year old man was flown to an undisclosed hospital in the United Kingdom.
He is part of the ‘Cabal’ in the presidency that decides and influences decision of Mr. President.
Two weeks ago, he aired his opinion on 2023 presidency, saying that a president can emerge from any part of Nigeria.
He said, what is important is competence, but the statement elicited serious outrage from members of the public, particularly those of the school of thought that presidency should go to the South in 2023.
