Group counsels NASS Clerk, Ojo to beware of ‘banana peels’, urges him to always engage Commission in national interest
Nigerian Integrity Movement (NIM), has commended the Acting Clerk to the National Assembly and other leadership for their familiarization visit to the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), advising that he should avoid acts capable of generating misgivings in tasks ahead.
The group said the visit was reflective of acting Clerk’s passion to build a robust relationship, while urging that they should always be interactive session between his office and the Commission in the interest of the nation.
The NIM in a statement signed by Kayode Esan task the Chaiman of the NASC, Engineer Ahmed Kadi Amshi to ensure that the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, do not interfere in the management and activities of the staff of the National Assembly.
NIM tasks Ag Clerk on the need for harmonious working relationships with the NASC, so as to protect the interest of the country.
The Civil Society Organization ask the new leaders to be wary of the activities of the former Clerk who became law unto himself
The NIM also task the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representative not to interfere in the activities of the NASC, as that will not be in the interest of Nigeria’s democracy.
The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), established by law has enormous and absolute powers to oversee the activities of the National Assembly bureaucrats efficiently and effectively.
