Kaduna based lawyer alledges El-Rufai demolishing houses of Christians against court injunction [Picture]
Kaduna based legal practitioner, Kimi Livingstone Appah has alledged that Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai and his team demolish houses belonging to Christians in Kaduna.
Reacting to the demolition of a house belonging to a retired staff Sergeant of the Nigerian Army who is now 85 years old, the lawyer fumed at how the governor against Court injunction detailed his team to pull down the house in a manner that showed impunity.
In a statement the lawyer personally signed and sent to CAPITAL POST, with pictorial and video evidence on Wednesday, he explained that the ex-Army officer, Paul Ojo, his wife, Veronica Ojo were beaten up on orders of Ahmed who led Operation Yaki to demolish the structure.
Barrister Appah further explained how government lawyers in Kaduna State Ministry of Justice were complicit in demolition of houses against Court injunction, revealing that he has written a petition to the the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee against Samuel Jacob Madaki.
The statement averred: “El-Rufai ordered Chris Umar, Solicitor General of Kaduna State and the Solicitor General delegated Samuel Madaki, esq who forcefully without notice takeover the houses of christians in Kaduna State.
“Above is the house of Paul Ojo, (in pictures), a retired staff Sergeant of the Nigerian Army and 85 years.
“DSP Ahmed whose voice you heard in the video directed his boys to beat up the man, they beat up his wife, Veronica Ojo who is 75 years and his two sons, Michael and Isaac Ojo and the two children were detained at Operation Yaki for 10 hours and after paying N3,500, they were released on bail.
“The matter is in Court and the matter is being represented by Tahir Ladan from the Ministry of Justice on behalf of Kaduna State government.
“But yet they dont have any record whatsoever, they removed the roof the houses and took possession because they are christian.
“DSP Ahmed shot three bullet before me in a bid to forcefully take over the premises.
“I have written to the legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee against Samuel Jacob Madaki for the offence of infamous conduct in a professional way”, he. noted.
