Friday Makama’s name missing as Kogi Governor Ododo retains Yahaya Bello’s Commissioners in first day appointments[See list]
Kogi newly sworn in governor, Ododo Ahmed Usman on Saturday made some appointments which he has retained majority of Yahaya Bello’s Commissioners and loyalists in his first day in office.
Mr Ali Bello, a nephew of Yahaya Bello who has been under prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for alleged N10 billion money laundering has appointed as Chief of Staff.
Meanwhile, Friday Sani Makama’s name has not been mentioned for any political appointment in Ododo’s first day in office.
Makama defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC and headed a task force on illegal arms which was used to harass and kill the perceived political opponents during the electioneering campaign. Makama hails from Odolu in Igalamela Local Government in Kogi East Senatorial District.

Former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Folashade Ayoade Arike
Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo
Auditor-General of Local Government, Yakubu Adebenege
Suleman Ibrahim, Director-General, Protocol.
Oladele Nihi, Chief Press Secretary.
Former Finance Commissioner, Idris Ashiru;
Former Commissioner for Solid Minerals; Bashir Gegu;
Former Commissioner for Education, Wemi Jones
Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Salami Deedat.
They are all from Kogi Central and Western Senatorial Districts.
