BREAKING: Aiyedatiwa appoints ex-NASS clerk as deputy governor
Ex-National Assembly Deputy Clerk, Mr. Olaide Adelami has been appointed as Deputy Governor by Ondo State Governor Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Wednesday.
The appointment was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan which was made available to journalists in Akure.
Earlier on Wednesday, the governor announced the dissolution of Commissioners and Special Advisers which he inherited from the late Rotimi Akeredolu administration.
Meanwhile, the statement disclosed that the name of the newly appointed Deputy Governor has been transmitted to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
“His nomination will be announced by the House of Assembly later today,” the statement read.
Adelami retired as Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly l in April 2018. He hails hails from Owo, Owo Local Government Area, and the same LGA of late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Adelami was an APC governorship aspirant in 2020 but stepped down for the late Akeredolu.
