Ghanaian authorities has resumed clampdown on Nigerian traders as their several shops are being shutdown in capital, Accra, while demanding that they pay $1 million each if they want to continue doing in the West African country.
In a viral video, Ghanaian task force who were acting on the instruction of government authorities were seen in one of the major markets in Accra shutting down shops, claiming that they were operating against the nation’s laws.
A shop owner of Nigerian citizen, who’s further identity could not be ascertained was heard in the clip daring the taskforce who were made of Military and Police.
The man was explaining in the video that his business has been in operation since 2007, stating that he has every documents needed to allow him do business in Ghana.
Meanwhile, social media has been awashed with reactions over the endless persecution of Nigerians by the Ghanaian authorities.
Nigeria’s Business and Financial journalist and Analyst, Emmanuel Ohiomokhare took to his Facebook page to draw the attention of the Nigerian government to the plight of its citizens in neighbouring Ghana.
