…Says working to build Ogun State must be sustained
National Working Committee member of All Progressives Congress (APC), Aare (Hon) Tolu Bankole has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun and Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele on the Supreme Court’s ruling that affirmed their triumph at Ogun Governorship Poll.
In a statement he personally signed, Hon Bankole hailed the verdict as a triumph for democracy and a testament to the overwhelming support given to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Prince Dapo Abiodun by the majority of Ogun voters.
The party chieftain noted that the numerous stages of the election petition tribunal culminating in the Supreme Court’s ultimate validation has enriched electoral jurisprudence and deepened the democratic values.
“The Supreme Court’s decision has conclusively put an end to the long-standing legal dispute surrounding the 2023 Ogun governorship election, in which Prince Dapo Abiodun emerged as the winner.
“This judgment mirrors the collective will of Ogun people who voted overwhelmingly for the APC and Governor Dapo Abiodun to sustain his vision of creating a more prosperous and harmonious society for all.
“The extended legal process has further underscored the strength of our democracy. With the opposition exercising their constitutional rights, it is now time to unite with His Excellency to build together a gateway state that will be the envy of other states.
“I firmly believe that Ogun State will continue on this developmental trajectory under Governor Dapo Abiodun’s leadership. He is a visionary, dedicated, and passionate leader whose unwavering commitment has brought remarkable achievements across our dear state.
“Let me also call on opposition political stakeholders to sheath their swords and prioritize Ogun State over and above personal ambition.
“Again, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele and our party the All Progressives Congress, APC.
