BREAKING: Omo-Agege loses against Delta gov. at S’Court
The former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege has lost the case he brought before the Supreme Court, claiming that he won the governorship election in Delta State which was conducted on 18th March, 2023.
He contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress against Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Oborevwori winner of the election.
The case started from the Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal at the instance of Ovie Omo-Agege, but kept losing serially.
Supreme Court submitted that the appeal lacked merit and the appellant was unable to discharge the burden of proof placed on him.
Judgment is being read in the Labour Party’s appeal.
