Alleged N585m Fraud: Betta Edu honours EFCC Invitation
The suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, on Tuesday, arrived at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Headquarters, in Abuja.
Edu’s invitation by the anti-graft agency, shortly after she was suspended by President Bola Tinubu on Monday, over the alleged disbursement of N585 million grant into a private account.
Reports have it that the suspended Minister arrived at the Abuja Headquarters of the EFCC on Tuesday morning. She is expected to be grilled over the alleged N585 million fraud in her ministry.
The N585,198,500.00 Grant, meant for Vulnerable Groups in Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Lagos and Ogun States, was allegedly transferred to the UBA account of one Oniyelu Bridget Mojisola.
