CAPITAL POST gathered that heavily armed men suspected to be members of Islamic State of West African Province, ISWAP on Thursday swooped on Geidam village on the outskirts of Yobe and kill several people.
Reports said, the attack took place in a village called Kwari, a local suburb in Gaidam Local Government Council of Yobe State.
Terrorists stormed the club when the night party was seriously ongoing and they opened fire killing people at random while sporadically shooting in order to scare people away.
A resident said who spoke on the condition of anonymity said, locals were forced out of their houses and started scampering for safety due to heavy gunshots by the terrorists.
Other sources confirmed to our reporter that so far six corpses have been recovered while security forces are currently at the scene.
“Six corpses have been recovered, they also burned one vehicle and a good number of houses were set ablaze.”
This is the second attack by the terrorists on the club, in 2022 the terrorists attacked Kwari the popular brothel and slaughtered 10 persons including women.
