BREAKING: Tension grips Niger Community as notorious killer, Shabako is released from Correctional Centre amid conspiracy by Court Registrar
Tension and fear has enveloped Evugi Community in Gbako Local Goverment of Niger State over the sudden release of one the suspect alleged to have killed three persons in the community.
Already, anxiety has gripped Evugi village since the released of Dauda Shabako of Biramafu Community even as he was alledged to have fully participated in the killing of the three persons.
Dauda was ordered to be remanded in Correctional Custody on the order of Minna Chief Magistrate court Number One presided by Hajiya Ummih Mohammed through a bench warrant she issued for the arrest of the suspects alleged to have participated in the killing of the three persons from Evugi.
CAPITAL POST reliably gathered that the Registrar of the Magistrate Court Number One, Minna conspired with some security agents involved in the prosecution and some politicians to release the suspect.
His release according to members of committee in Evungi Community Comrade Nakordi Penta Evungi has created a serious uncertainty in the community as some group of youths in Evugi are threatening a show down.
Some youths from Biramafu Community in Gbako Local Goverment Area had some times in 2022, invaded Evungi village killing three persons over a road path linking Evugi village which has been a subject of dispute between the the two villages in the last seven years.
During one of the crises in the community, Jibrin Saba (Alhaji Wuyagi), Abubakar Mohammed (Baba Abu) and Mohammed Ndagiman were brutally killed by the irate youths from Biramafu while one other person was said to have been killed by the Evungi youth during a reprisal attack.
Speaking with Journalists in Minna Thursday, a member of youths committee in Evungi Community in Gbako Local Government, Mallam Nakordi Penta Evungi called on Niger Governor Umar Mohammed Bago to as a matter of urgency deploy security forces to the community to forstall any unforeseen security breach in the both Communities.
He disclosed that since the release of Dauda Shabako the relative peace being enjoyed in the village has been eroded as the youths in Evungi vowed to go on reprisal attack on the Biramafu if step is not taken by the appropriate authority.
He further appealed to the governor to as a matter of necessity prevail on the State Commissioner of Police and other relevant security forces in the State to quickly effect the arrest of Dauda Shabako in the interest of peace and security of the people of Evugi.
Mallam Nakordi then appealed to the youths in the community to remain calm and maintain peace in the community and not to take the law into their hands, assuring that the government of Niger under the leadership of Rt Hon Mohammed Umar Bago will take the appropriate step to forstall peace in the community.
