An ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’Abba is dead.
Na’Abba was elected Speaker following Salisu Buhari’s resignation as the then Speaker over certificate forgery scandal. They both came from the same Kano State.
He died in the wee hours of Wednesday at an undisclosed hospital.
Details of the cause of his death was sketchy at the time of filing this report, but he was said to have been sick for a long time, a development that kept him away from media space.
Na’Abba was a member of the House of Representatives in 1999 from Kano State.
He became the Speaker a few months after the inauguration of the House.
