Christmas Service: Topic: Significance of Christmas

Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is a mark of honour and value to Him. Jesus brought light to a world filled with darkness.

If not for Jesus, we would have engaged in all kind of sinful acts, we would be living reckless lives and some of us would have died because of the kind of lives we live.

Jesus made our lives meaningful.
Jesus made a difference in our lives.

Jesus is the light of the world. He brought hope to us. He rekindled our joy. He has given us direction.

Jesus is the expression of God’s love for mankind.

Love was demonstrated when God gave himself as a sacrifice.

The gospel of Christ is good news. Christmas is good news. Everytime the gospel is preached, it expresses the love of the Father to humanity.
As we celebrate his birth, we remember Jesus assignment to redeem mankind.

In a season like this, we give to others the same love we have received from God. Whatever you are not doing that does not showcase sacrifice is not love.

Christmas should remind us that in the midst of our celebration of Christ, we should not allow our minds to be polluted. If there’s anything to show off, let it be you giving opportunity for God to be known.

Christmas shows the generosity of God. The only son God had, he gave to the world. That is why this season is characterized with giving. It is showcasing what God did.
If God has blessed you, then be a blessing to others.

Let the life of God ooze out of you wherever you find yourself.
