Former CBN Deputy governor, Mailafia invited by DSS for accusing governor of sponsoring Boko Haram
Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, former Deputy Central Bank Governor over an interview he granted a radio station.
Dr. Mailafia confirmed the invitation to journalists in Jos.
He said, “Yes, it true. The DSS invited me to appear in their Jos office tomorrow (Wednesday) by noon.”
According to him, his invitation was not unconnected to an interview he granted an Abuja radio station, 95.1FM, on Monday.
He had explained how a repentant terrorists told him that a serving northern governor was the Boko Haram leader.
Mailafia, who was the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the 2019 election, said the terrorists moved weapons even during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Terrorism and banditry has persisted in the Northern part of Nigeria for so long which has obviously defied government effort to stop it.
