BREAKING: Senators donate N109 million to victims of mistaken drone ‘bomb attack’ in Kaduna
Senate of the 10th National Assembly on Sunday announced a donation of N109 million to victims of mistaken drone attack in Tudun Biri, in Igabi Local Government Council of Kaduna State.
The donation was announced by the Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau when he paid a visit to Governor Uba Sani on Sunday at the Government House, Kaduna.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, said each Senator contributed their one month salaries making N109 million.
The drone misfire killed over 100 persons while several others were injured including women and children last week.
The governor after receiving lawmakers in the upper legislative Chamber thanked them for their donation.
The Senate delegation comprising the Senate leader, Senator Micheal Opayemi Bamidele; the Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume; Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro; Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Olarere; Senator Abdulhamid Malam-Madori; Senator Aliyu Ikra Bilbis; Senator Ibrahim Bomoi; Senator Ibrahim Lamido; Senator Abdulaziz Yar’Adua; Senator Victor Umeh; Senator Muntari Dandutse; Senator Lawal Usman; and Senator Emmanuel Udende, were also at the Barau Dikko Hospital to visit the victims.
