BREAKING: President Tinubu arrives NASS for 2024 budget presentation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday arrived the National Assembly at exactly 11.10am to present the 2024 annual budget to the joint session of legislators.

Earlier, both Chambers resolved to host President Tinubu having been notified before Wednesday’s joint sitting.

President Tinubu is presenting a budget for the first time, since taking over on May 29.

Preparatory to the joint sitting of lawmakers which is taking place in the House of Representatives Chamber, security has been beefed in and around the complex with restrictions on movement of staff and other essential staff.

Despite the official tag issued to staff, essential workers and some aides of lawmakers, they were being scrutinised by security agents while accessing the complex.
