The thugs while chanting war songs said they are there to attack and whoever comes their way would be hacked to death.

Armed with AK47, Matchet, Cutlasses and other dangerous weapons, the thugs have warned security agents to stay away.

Residents around the INEC office which is Lokoja opposite Post Office in the heart of Lokoja town have deserted.

CAPITAL POST reported last week that plots we’re afoot to burn down INEC office in Lokoja.

The threat was at the backdrop of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which granted the rival candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka approval to get Certified True Copies of the November 11 materials preparatory for filing the Petition in Court.

At the time of filing this report, thugs are still occupying INEC office with no action from security agents.

The Police Public Relations Office, Ovye William Aya’s line was not connecting for his reaction.
