It was alledged that thugs who were hired from Kogi, a nearby State for purposes of the governorship election have turned Osagie Ize-Iyamu’s home into a smoking and drinking joint, a development that Ize-Iyamu’s wife seriously frowned at.

She was said to have complained to her husband and suggested that thugs should be relocated to the All Progressives Congress Secretariat, but her husband reportedly paid deaf ears.

News of her misunderstanding with thugs leaked when Mrs Audu, wife of Gani Audu, running mate to Ize-iyamu and other guests visited the residence of the APC governorship candidate to verify the state of things with regards to the ongoing campaign ahead election slated for September 19th.

Mrs Ize-iyamu who was not comfortable with filth of cirgarrette and weeds all over the places was said to have complained bitterly to Mrs Audu, threatening that she might relocate temporarily if her husband failed to call the thugs who had shifted political party activities at the campaign secretariat in Etete Street to their residence in Benin City, to order.

Family source further divulged information that she criticised her husband for downplaying the indiscriminate smoking of cannabis within their premises by party associates under the guise of showing solidarity, adding that her husband who brought them should be the one to caution or relocate them.

According to reports, there have been cases of theft of automobile batteries and lawn mower in their home. Just before Ize-Iyamu travelled to Edo North Senatorial District last Friday, his wife drew her husband’s attention to the development, but he neither reacted nor spoke a word to tje thugs over the issue.
