Kogi community boils again as suspected thugs loyal to APC kills SDP supporter in broad day light

A Social Democratic Party, SDP supporter identified as Monday Oboni Ogboho was reportedly shot by suspected thugs loyal to the All Progressives Congress.

The heinous act was carried out in broad day light on Saturday at Ajiolo Ojaji, thereby creating tension.

An eye witness told CAPITAL POST that before the victim was shot and died of bleeding from gunshot, his house was stormed by the suspected thugs and vandalised his properties over the night.

He said: “An SDP supporter, Monday Oboni Ogboho had his house vandalized overnight for daring to identify with Muri.

“While attempted to report his ordeal to a KSVS commander on sighting him at Ajiolo Ojaji, for action, thugs who were fully armed and in full glare of residents suddenly appeared and shot at him at point-blank range.

“He’s still lying in the pool of his blood as we speak”, he stated.

This is however coming after the Governorship election has been held on November 11, 2023 which the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Ahmed Ododo as the purported winner.

Ajiolo community is in Dekina Local Government in Kogi East Senatorial District.
