Kogi decides: Residents hail INEC for functional BVAS, others
Voters across Kogi Central of Kogi State have commended the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC’s efforts for the conduct of off cycle election in Kogi State.
The electorate also applauded INEC for improved logistics and smooth functionality of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS
Resident, Sani Ajayi, said “the BVAS is working perfectly. It was when they began in the morning that they experienced some glitches.
On the voter turnout, Ajayi said, “All my years voting,I have never seen such turnout because of the acceptance of the candidate vying for the office of governor.
Another voter in polling unit 8, Agasa of Okene, Raji Ismaila, said, i was here as early as possible before 8:30 and I met INEC officials already on ground.
The BVAS functioned well we didn’t have problems, it was at the beginning but when it was resolved it began to move with speed.
On security, Ismaila said the community is calm no threat due to security presence.
Aisha Ishaya, in Upogoro okene local government area of Kogi said, So far the process is fine as he cast his vote before 9:00am.
“The BVAS functioned well and we are very happy about that”
