Police: Newly promoted officers decorated in Niger

A total of 288 police officers were promoted to their next ranks in Niger State command with a call to them to justify their elevation.

Decorating the newly promoted officers at the police officers mess in Minna, the Commissioner of Police in the state Alh. Adamu Usman urged them to justify their promotion by putting in their best in the discharge their responsibility.

He noted that their new elevation is additional responsibility that call for putting more efforts in the discharge of their duty stressing the need for them to continue always be committed in ensuring effective policing of the state.

“Your new ranks means additional responsibility is added to you. As officers, you must leave up to your responsibilties.

“To whom much is given more is expected and is now expected of you to leave above board to prove to the management that you are equal to the task as you move forward in the force.

“Your elevation brings with more responsibilities and increased expectations from the citizens and the command do your best to ensure the protection of lives and property of the people of the state”, CP Adamu admonished.

Similarly, the Police boss charged the newly promoted officers to always apply professionalism and diligence in the discharge their duty at all times.

He charged the newly promoted officers to always bear in mind that with their new tank, they would be assigned with more duty that would go along way to justify their promotion, insisting that they should be prepared to accept such responsibility that may be assigned to them by the force.

CP Adamu, while congratulating the newly promoted officers for their new ranks, he urged them to always be loyal and committed to their duty at all times.

Responding on behalf of the promoted officers, SP Samuel Dabai, assured the Commissioner of police that they would carry out their duties in a more dignified manner to justify their promotion.

He commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu for recommending them to Police Service Commission ( PSC), for the promotion.
