Sallah: Oyo Federal lawmaker advocate prayers for Nigeria
Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akinremi Jagaban has called on Muslims to pray for the country as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the symbol of faith.
In a Sallah message made available to CAPITAL POST by his Special Assistant on New Media, the lawmaker noted that his call for prayers was necessitated by the challenge of coronavirus the nation was going through.
He urged his constituents to pray for peace and progress of the nation, saying that if the nation progresses, the people also progress.
The statement reads: “May Allah perfect so many things in the country, which will usher lasting peace and togetherness, especially in this trying times.”
The lawmaker applauded muslims in Ibadan North Federal Constituency for consistently participated in the social-cultural and political activities in Ibadan North, a.situation he said made it possible for him to become their representative in the lower Chamber of the National Assembly.
“Muslims in Oyo State have shown extraordinary passion and commitment to the development of our Federal Constituency.
“You have enjoyed participation in everything that concerns the Federal Constituency and.we.are grateful to God for your spirit of neighbourliness.
“All we pray for is the unity of Nigeria and we all have a part to play by our actions and inactions towards the fight of this deadly coronavirus’, the statement concluded.
