Kogi Guber: Resign from Ododo’s campaign, emulate your late father – Group to Shuaibu Audu
For accepting the appointment of the Director General, Usman Ododo Campaign team, Kogi Patriotic Group KPG has warned the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu not to be at cross purpose with the noble idea his later father, Prince Abubakar Audu lived and died for.
A statement issued on Saturday night on behalf of the group by Usman Idakwoji, he described his new role as against the legacies of his late father, stating that rather than concentrate on his new appointment as cabinet Minister, he was railroaded into fighting against his extraction all in the name of politics.
The group asked him to reject the offer of being used as an in road to the Igala kingdom, after his late father won an election and subsequently died with nothing to show on the part of the state government, after seven years to compensate the family or his political empire rather than victimisation of all sorts.
Idakwoji asked the Minister of Steel to resign the DGship and concentrate on his ministerial position, stating that no minster from Imo , Bayelsa was appointed as the DG of the forthcoming governorship election in the state, and why Kogi and the Minister was bei g cajoled by the APC in the state to attract victory at all costs.
He warned on the consequences of him working against the advice, stating that the Igala nation will have no choice than to assert themselves politically against his newly found political affiliations.
“We will let him know that we cannot serve his father and also serve a son whose intentions is to place us on the role of playing a second fiddle, if he insisted on continuing with his newly found extraction.”
“For over two decades Late Prince Abubakar Audu stayed on the political stage from Benue to Kogi , his strong believe in protecting the interest of the Igala nation was not negotiable.”
“The spirit of his late father is strongly behind the new wave of the only popular candidate from Kogi east, as the most populated part of the state, but if he decided to go ahead, we will leave him to posterity.”
“We assured him that in a sane , democratic and well conducted free ,fair and credible election, his cohorts and newly found ally in APC will not have a good day, not only in Kogi east, but Kogi state at large.”
“Your appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was purely on merit and not self acclaimed or glory of anyone, so your failure if you refused to heed the advice, will be at your own peril.” Idakwoji warned.”
