Ex-Chisco acting General Manager, Brenda denies theft of N143 million, says she has evidence to prove
The former Acting General Manager of Fulham Properties, Brenda Unachukwu, has denied the accusation against her of a theft of N143 million during her tenure of office, saying the development was a distraction from unfulfilled obligations by the businessman, Chidi Anyaegbu.
She denied on Sunday, while speaking with newsmwn, stressing that Chidi Anyaegbu who is also the owner of Chisco Transport, was making an attempt to divert attention from a backlog of salaries, commissions, and other allowances owed the workers.
Narrating what happened, Brenda narrated insisted that she has evidence proving that she never stole from the company.
She explained that contrary to reports in a section of the media, “the case in court is N26,100,000, not N143,000,000 as alleged. I am not owing Chisco N143m.”
The former Boss of Fulham Properties who pledged to make public, records of financial transactions, further alleged that Anyaegbu has refused to pay her entitlements long after leaving his employ.
“May to December, no payment for the AGM, 1%. He was only giving me 500,000 Naira, which is supposed to be the allowance.
“We put in the 1% that if I meet the target of 60 and above, I’m getting any money that comes in. 1%, in some months I can get 500, in some months I can get 700.
“Because I am good at what I do. I know that and they will just calculate the total income that came in the year and I will get my one percent.
“Chisco asked, do I want it in the year? I said, no, sir, I don’t want it in the year. I want it monthly.
“In May, he stopped all that. In December, I put in my official resignation. I still followed the rules. Now this rule I followed is I gave him two months payment in the year of notice. So putting it on the 16th of December,” she narrated.
Brenda further alleged that “the 1% he’s supposed to pay when I turned to AGM, he stopped paying it in May, and said to them that my letter was wrong, that he wrote it in the wrong way, that I did not understand the English in it.”
