Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani said, heads of government agencies disrespect Senators and House of Representatives members because they seek favours from them.
In a post on his verified twitter, Sani said lawmakers in the upper and lower legislative chambers request for job slots most often from heads of Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals (MDAs).
According to him, lawmakers through oversight function pay unofficial visits to the agencies as well as indulged in needless summons of heads of those agencies to appear before the Committee.
He said, once, that happens, the integrity of the Committee Chairman and members becomes an issue.
