BREAKING: Tribunal annuls Kogi east Senatorial election, orders rerun

The Election Petition Tribunal has ordered a rerun for Kogi East Senatorial District between Dr Victor Adoji and Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho.

The tribunal ordered a rerun for 155 polling units which Victor Adoji effectively contented through his legal team.

Adoji is of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, while.Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho who is a second timer to the 10th National Assembly is of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

While delivering judgement in a legal fireworks that lasted for five months, the Tribunal ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission should conduct a rerun for 155 polling units.

The polling units to be so re-conducted across Kogi East has 68,000 votes.
