Niger Magistrate Association elect officers

Eight-member executive council to pilot the affairs of Magistrate Association of Nigeria (MAN) in Niger state branch have been inaugurated at the High court complex in Minna.

The newly inaugurated chairman of the association, Chief Magistrate Ummulkhatum Mohammed, has pledged to partner with members of the Bar and the senior benchers in the state to ensure speedy dispensation of justice.

Change of Name

She said her two years leadership as the chairman of the Niger State branch of the association will witness a robust working relationship with all critical stakeholders in administration of justice stressing the need for cooperation from the executive members to achieve the goals.

In her acceptance remarks shortly after the inauguration, Ummulkhatum Mohammed assured that her leadership will give priority to the welfare of members in order to ensure an enabling working environment.

She told the newly inaugurated members to extend their hands of fellowship to her for them to collectively move the Niger branch of the association forward.

While commending members of the association for giving her the opportunity to serve, the Niger State branch of Magistrate Association of Nigeria assured that she will not in any way let them down with the confidence reposed on her.

The post of treasurer was contested by Deborah Sule who got 19 votes while Fatima Mohammed Bawa scored 21 votes to emerge as the treasurer.

The newly inaugurated members include Chief Magistrate Ummulkuthum Mohammed as the chairman, Chief Magistrate Ramatu Adamu Gado vice Chairman, Paul Aliyu Adams as the secretary general while Mohammed Rabiu Raji to serve as the assistant secretary..

Other members of the executive are Saeed Ibn- Salihu Salihu emerged as the financial secretary, Abubakar Mohammed Kutigi to serve as the Welfare officer and Nathaniel Dangana Kolo emerged as the Public Relation Officer .
