BREAKING: Edo governor sacks deputy’s media aides over crisis

Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki on Monday relieved all media aides to the deputy governor, Philip Shaibu of the appointments.

The sack followed lingering crisis between Obaseki and his deputy, over the 2024 governorship ambition being nursed by Shaibu.

Earlier, CAPITAL POST reported that the estranged deputy governor was on Sunday restrained by a security aide of the governor from having access to him at a function which held at Edo State government house on Sunday to celebrate Edo State at 32.

In photos which went viral on several social media platforms, governor’s security aide could be seen blocking Philip Shaibu from coming close to the governor who sat with his wife at the function.
