Tribunal may deliver Peter Obi, Tinubu, Atiku’s judgement September 16
According to a post on his verified X, a Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy wrote that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has fixed September 16 for judgement on the petitions challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu.
However, the Tribunal is yet to confirm the date, but checks by CAPITAL POST indicated that the Tribunal has September 16, 2023 to make up to 180 statutorily allowed for the final judgement in petitions matters to be delivered.
The presidential election which held on February 25, was being contented by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
They both filed petitions challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Charly Boy in a post on his official X handle, urged supporters of Obi known as Obidients to get ready for the judgement.
The post reads, “OBIDIENTS ARE U Ready? Tribunal (PEPT) has announced that the judgment date for the cases involving Peter Obi and the Labour Party against Bola Tinubu, INEC, Shettima, and APC, as well as the PDP’s case of Atiku against APC, INEC, and Tinubu, is scheduled for September 16, 2023.”
