Military conducts mass burial for personnel ambushed by terrorists in Niger State

Twenty military officers killed in ambush by terrorists are being mass-buried today.

CAPITAL POST recalled that the fallen soldiers were on a rescue mission for the crashed military aircraft in Niger State on 14th August, 2023 before they were ambushed by the terrorists.

In the ambush, 14 soldiers were killed on the spot, while seven of them were injured.

Meanwhile military source confirmed that the crashed aircraft killed all passengers including the two pilots and two crew members.
The burial programme which was released on Friday showed that 22 dead persons are to be buried today.
