Kogi Socio-Political group operating under the aegis of Ogbonicha Ward Vanguard in Ofu Local Government Council in the Eastern Senatorial flank of the State has tasked the newly inaugurated Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu to deliver on mandate and made them and Kogi State proud.

The President of the group, Chief Abubakar Agene while addressing in Abuja has expressed optimism that the newly inaugurated Minister of Steel Development in Nigeria would deliver on mandate and restore the Nigerian moribund steel plants.

Change of Name

Urging him to behave like his late father, Prince Abubakar Audu, Chief Agene noted that “Lion begets Lion”, expressed confidence that Hon. Shuaibu would work in the capacity of his late father Prince Abubakar Audu to resuscitate the Ajaokuta Steel Company and other steel plants across the country.

Speaking also, one of the members of the Group Mr Abel Adah Anyebe, a versed Business Analyst who bagged an MBA in International Business Management and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). He is also an Associate member of the Chartered institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI) with a unique interest in Auditing and fiscal policy implementations. He equally affirmed the capacity of the newly inaugurated Minister.

Anyebe stressed the need to diversify the Nigerian oil mono-economy where production could equate consumption via Steel Development.

He further said if the production process could commence in the Steel Industry, the problem of unemployment in Nigeria would become a thing of the past, adding that, the Nigerian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) would tremendously improve.

Admiring the profile of the newly inaugurated Minister, he said Shuaibu’s appointment was putting a round peg in a round hole.

He appreciated the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Hon. (Alh) Shuaibu Audu as the Minister of Steel Development.
