Kogi group advises Steel Minister to be loyal to President Tinubu, focus on mandate of office

Kogi Patriotic Group, KPG has advised the scion of the late Prince Abubakar Audu now Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu to adhere strictly to the instructions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and not allowing himself to be hoodwinked by those seeking vain glory over his appointment.

The group’s advice was at the backdrop of President Tinubu’s revelation that nobody recommended him to be appointed Minister, hence, the Minister and others were not expected to be regional or sectional in discharging their responsibilities, but to the entire Nigerians.

Change of Name

CAPITAL POST reports that there are counterfactual report making the round that Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu was recommended for appointment by governor Yahaya Bello.

Checks revealed that the report was false, which has been corroborated by several sources within the Lugard House, Lokoja.

There are indications that some interest group and high profile personality are organizing a reception for the Minister in order to legitimize their falsehood that he was recommended, CAPITAL POST learnt on Tuesday.

A development that was confirmed by the leader of Kogi Patriotic Group, Abdul Abdul, adding that the Minister has been highjacked by those who are bent on taking a vain glory for his appointment.

“This was evidenced on President Tinubu’s reactions when the new Minister prostrated to honor Mr President”, stating that they will be no need to hold any allegiance to anyone, no matter how highly placed.

He warned on the consequences of the Minister going against the advice of the President, stating that Kogi can no longer risk the aberration that was orchestrated in the last eight years.

“Those claiming and taking vain glory of his appointment are displaying a defeatist tendencies”, he said.
