As part of efforts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to win the forthcoming Imo state governorship election, President Bola Tinubu and APC National chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje has reconciled the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma and his predecessor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Ganduje were on hand at the reconciliatory parley held on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Earlier, a former Chief of staff to the Imo state government, Uche Nwosu, during a courtesy call on Ganduje at the APC Secretariat in Abuja, urged the National Chairman to carry everyone along, and to bring harmony in the party.

Nwosu said there is a need for a united APC to enable the party to bring the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

Uzodimma and Okorocha, who have become political enemies in recent times arrived at the State House in the company of the National Chairman of the governing APC.

Presidency sources said less than one hour after the parties arrived, they were joined by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
