We will not abandon you – Ganduje assures former legislators, house of assembly candidates
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured former members of the National Assembly that the ruling party will not abandon them but will engage them in its activities.
The National Chairman gave the assurance when the former lawmakers under the aiges of the Former National Assembly Members Forum paid him a courtesy visit at the party headquarters, Abuja.
“We should be able to and will be involving you in one activity or another, because you have the institutional memory when talking of anything dealing with political parties, dealing with conflict resolution, party registration, dealing with the election campaign, you have institutional memory about it and so you are more qualified than any other person.
“So we hope we have the list of members, telephone numbers, and states of origin because we must use you from time to time. After all, you are important partners in progress.
“I assure you, we view you as a very important institution of our national diversity and how to manage our national diversity is one of the cardinal principles of this administration”, he said.
Ealier, Leader of the forum, hon. Ibrahim Zailani congratulated Dr Ganduje on his appointment as the National Chairman of the party. They also promised to work with him to achieve the desired success.
“We are representing the country because all the six geopolitical zones are adequately represented here. We may not be in the House of Representatives now, but we want to tell you that all of us have the energy, the vision and the interest of the party at heart. So we are offering ourselves for any party assignments”, the forum stated.
Similarly, House of Assembly candidates under the APC urged the National leader to carry them along in the activities of the party.
Again, the National Chairman urged them to drop their data, and promised to engage them whenever their services is needed.
