Akpabio, Wife visit Natasha Akpoti’s residence to celebrate son’s birthday
Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio and his wife, Mrs Ekaette Akpabio on Sunday paid a visit to the residence of Barrister Natasha Akpoti-Udughan in Abuja.
CAPITAL POST learnt that the Senate President and Akpoti-Uduaghan family have been friends for a long time.
Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan shared photos of the visit on Instagram with the caption: “Our Uncommon Senate President H.E. Godswill Akpabio in the company of his beloved wife and teaming senators visited our home today in celebration of our son Reign-Emmanuel’s 1st birthday.”
Akpoti-Uduaghan was delivered of her son on July 12, 2022.
The lawyer got married to Emmanuel Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri Kingdom, in Delta State, at a high profile traditional ceremony on March 5, 2022 in Kogi.
CAPITAL POST recalled that Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan contested for Kogi Central Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and scored 51,132 votes, while Engr. Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere scored 52,132 votes with a slim margin of 369 votes.
Again, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan won four out of five Local Government Councils that make the Kogi Central Senatorial District, with claims by the PDP that APC’s votes were allegedly inflated in favour of Ohere.
This is despite the road excavation on the order of governor Yahaya Bello during the election period in February at Ihima where Natasha has huge supporters so as to hinder voters from coming out to cast votes for her.
