APC postpones National Caucus and NEC meetings

The All Progressives Congress APC has postponed its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings.

Recall that the meetings were originally scheduled for 18th and 19th July, 2023.

The postponement is coming after the resignation of the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Secretary, Iyiola Omisore on Sunday night and Monday morning respectively.

CAPITAL POST reported earlier that Deputy National Chairman (North) Senator Abubakar Kyari has assumed office as the Acting National Chairman.

Speaking to Journalists immediately after the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting on Monday afternoon, the Acting National Chairman, Abubakar Kyari said, “I will like to announce to you that the proposed National Caucus meeting slated for Tuesday, the 18th July 2023 and the National Executive Committee Meeting of the All Progressives Congress slated for Wednesday, 19th July 2023 has hereby been postponed.

“This postponement will not be indefinite but a new date will be communicated in the near future”, he said.
