The victim, El-Roi Kapach, is a husband and father of five who lives in the West Bank settlement of Nokdim.

The IDF arrested the terrorist who wounded three people in a shooting attack near Tekoa Junction in the West Bank on Sunday morning, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit confirmed.
The shooter reportedly fired from inside his own car toward another car on the road while passing and was arrested later in the afternoon in an IDF raid in Bethlehem, along with two other Palestinians. The three Palestinians were arrested after Israeli forces surrounded the al-Rabat Mosque in Bethlehem, according to Palestinian reports. Four Palestinians were reportedly injured in clashes that erupted around the mosque. The IDF seized the terrorist’s car, as well as an M-16 rifle.
The terrorist was identified as Ammar al-Najjar, a member of Hamas who had been arrested by Israeli authorities in the past, according to Palestinian reports. Najjar was reportedly from Hebron.

Three wounded, one taken to the hospital
Magen David Adom spokesperson Zachy Heller told KAN news that there were three people in the car that was attacked. The driver, El-Roi Kapach, 36, was seriously wounded. He had two of his daughters with him aged 14 and 9, who suffered non-life-threatening wounds from broken glass.

Kapach, a husband and father of five, lives in the West Bank settlement of Nokdim, according to KAN. His wife Tamar’s parents were both murdered in an attack on Kibbutz Kissufim during the Gaza disengagement in 2005.
MDA further reported that Kapach was taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital for further treatment. He was in serious condition but conscious and able to speak when he was evacuated from the scene of the attack.
“[Kapach]’s daughters, Rachel and Avigail, who suffered from light shrapnel wounds and shock are also in the hospital,” stated the Gush Eztion Regional Council spokesperson in a Sunday midday update. “El-Roi will undergo surgery shortly for his gunshot wounds.”

Gush Etzion Regional Council Mayor, and Yesha Council Chairman, Shlomo Ne’eman stated at the hospital: “Thank G-d we just heard a few minutes ago that El-Roi’s injuries are not life-threatening, but he is about to undergo a series of surgeries. I thank the security forces who will soon catch the despicable terrorists, and settle the score with them. The regional council and our staff are assisting the family and the residents of Nokdim through this ordeal.”
“We’re talking about an area where there hasn’t been a serious terrorist attack for years,” Ne’eman said in a statement. “We all wish a speedy recovery to the person wounded, and embrace the security forces who will soon catch the despicable terrorists, and settle the score with them. We will not give in to the terrorists who seek to spill Jewish blood and throw us out of our country.”
A few hours after the attack, dozens of residents of Tekoa held a demonstration at the site of the attack.
The road from Tekoa to Jerusalem was closed to traffic, according to an update from the Gush Etzion Regional Council.
The prime minister was briefed on the situation from his position in Sheba Medical Center, Israeli media reported.
