APC Chieftain tells Tinubu to probe Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s tenure in CBN
An All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain, Kailani Muhammad, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to to probe the tenure of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
He claimed that the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele is Sanusi’s boy, hence, there should be a thorough investigation of the former Emir of Kano as Emefiele’s predecessor.
Speaking at a Press Conference in Kaduna, the politician expressed disappointment at the way the Bankers Bank was handled by the duo in the past.
He said: “The fight against corruption in the CBN should be extended to the tenure of Sanusi Lamido. Emefiele is Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s boy.”
Muhammad, however, said that all stolen monies should be returned to the nation’s account to uplift the country’s economy and improve the livelihood of the citizens.
“We want prosperity and development of our country. We want our children to get quality education and good jobs. The stolen fund, I am sure, will be enough for us to get the country running,” he observed.
