Kogi guber: Christ Embassy Pastor, Ihiovi says no vacancy in gov’t house till after 32 years

Ahead of November 11 Kogi State governorship election, Pastor Innocent Ihiovi, one of the Christ Embassy Pastor said there’s no vacancy in Kogi Government House till 2055.

Ihiovi who pastors a Christ Embassy branch said Governor Bello has endeared himself to Kogi residents, such that people of the state do not reckon with other political parties.

Change of Name

Ihiovi who doubles as Convener, Kogi Must Be Greater Movement, pointed out that there is no vacancy in the Kogi State Government House till 2055, adding that the APC is strategically set to retain the governorship seat after this year’s gubernatorial election in the state.

In a statement he issued and.sent to CAPITAL POST on Wednesday, the Clergy claimed that Bello has scored excellently in infrastructural development, adding that he has managed the ethnic groups in Kogi.

Ihiovi said that residents of Kogi State are in support of measures taken by Governor Bello to strengthen the security architecture and infrastructural development of the state.

Ihiovi who spoke earlier to journalists maintained that Bello has lived above his campaign promises.

Pastor Ihiovi, while commending Bello noted that the 2-term Governor has also promoted religious tolerance in the State.

The APC Chieftain also said the Governor, in 2020 managed the Covid-19 pandemic well, despite the spread of the virus.

“Governor Bello made thought-provoking decisions during the Covid-19 days others avoided”, he said.

The Pastor said Bello in his leadership role, has encouraged women participation in politics of Kogi.

He therefore appealed to women and voters in the State to vote for continuity, by supporting Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman, the APC gubernatorial candidate in Kogi.

He said Usman will continue with the good deeds of Bello, for all round success.

He appealed to voters to reject the gubernatorial candidate of the opposition parties in the forthcoming elections because of the failure of the parties.

“I implore you to ignore opposition parties, who have been jumping from one party to the other for their selfish interest”, he said.
