Ex-Kaduna Speaker exposes El-Rufai’s mischief, attempt to abolish Courts

The immediate past Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Umar Zailani haa revealed the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai’s mischief of trying to use the State Assembly to abolish Sharia and Customary Çourts.

The ex-Speaker lamented how he was persecuted and having to face challenges for not allowing the State parliament under his leadership to be used to disadvantage of the citizens.

The aggrieved lawmaker spoke Hausa in a video which was obtained by CAPITAL POST in Kaduna, added that the people of Kaduna State suffered throughout El-Rufai’s tenure even as he deliberately introduce anti-people policies.

Amid persecution from the former governor, Zailani expressed joy that he courageously stopped El-Rufai from imposing his will on the people of Kaduna State.

He said:. “Even if I haven’t done anything as a Speaker, I happy that I stopped El-Rufai from imposing his will on the people.

“El-Rufai wanted us to abolish Customary and Sharia Courts in Kaduna State.”

CAPITAL POST recalled that there was attempt to impeach the Speaker in time past.
