Federal College of Education, Yauri scales second reading
A bill seeking establishment of the Federal College of Education, Yauri in Kebbi State which was sponsored by Hon. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, representing Ngaski/Shanga/Yauri Federal Constituency of Kebbi State has scaled second reading in the House of Representatives.
Hon. Sununu who is Chairman House Committee on Primary Health Care Service has said that the bill to establish the Federal College of Education Technical Yauri in Kebbi state, would provide full time courses in teaching instructions and training in technology, as well as applied science, art, social science, humanities and management.
The school will also carry out research in the development and operations of technical and related matters.
Reacting to debates, the Speaker of the House Hon, Femi Gbajabiamila requested the bill to be moved for second reading and Hon. Shehu Koko seconded the motion.
The federal lawmaker within one year in office has conducted surgical operations to his constituency people and has also performed medical outreach to Ngaski primary health care and general hospital to treatment of patient for the people of his constituency. within one year Sununu has also done first cataract outreach to patients with blindness and has renovated and expanded the primary health care at Gebbe.
The lawmaker since inception has moved several motions and also conducted Public hearing of the joint committee on health care services, health institution and justices on a bill for an act to repeal the quarantine act and enact the control of infection diseases which seek to make provision relating to quarantine laws, as well as important motions in the chamber.
