Tinubu Presidency: Benue man trek to Abuja, requests for photo shoot from the president
A young man identified as Nyor David has said he trekked from Benue to Abuja to show support for the newly sworn-in president, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Briefing Journalists on Friday at the All Progressives Congress (APC) party headquarters, David who described himself as the Cordinator of Benue Youth Volunteer for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said he began the journey on the 29th of May and arrived Abuja today, 2nd of June, 2023.
Reacting to what informed his decision, the young man said, “I was hanging out with some of my mates majorly Obidients and we were discussing who will win the presidential election and I said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win due to his track records in Lagos state as governor, relationship with people across the country that made all his associates from 1999 are still with him unlike Peter Obi who has no relationship with Nigerians. The only relationship he has is in Anambra State which is not strong. One of them now said if Tinubu emerges as president, he will leave Nigeria and I said if Tinubu becomes president, I will trek from Benue to Abuja to honour his victory.
“I thought it was going to be easy but when I started my legs were paining me and that was when I knew that trekking that far is not easy but because of the promise I made to the people, I kept on trekking.
“President Tinubu governed well while he was in charge of Lagos state, so I expect that he will do well as the president of Nigeria”, he added.
Nyor also requested that the president grant him audience for a photo shoot.
He said “My only request is to take a photo shoot standing beside my president so that when I return back to Benue, everyone will see me with my president”.
