Following the arrest and detention of the former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), pro and anti Ibrahim Magu have taken the war of words to twitter.

Reactions from anti-Magu trailed when his lawyer, Barrister Wahab Shittu wrote a letter to the Justice Ayo Salami led inter-agency presidential panel pleading for Magu’s bail from detention.

Change of Name

In his reaction, the former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayo Fayose said the embattled Magu should.be detained for 28 days through court order.

Fayose told the panel to use Magu’s style and procedure while he held sway as EFCC boss to treat him.

On his twitter, he wrote: “The panel should formalise Magu’s detention by obtaining remand order from Court to enable completion of investigations.

“The panel must equally get temporary and permanent forfeiture of loots linked to him. That’s Magu’s style and procedure while in office.

Fayose told Magu’s lawyer, Wahab Shittu to stop complaining, while reminding him of how he used detain Nigerians.

“Wahab Shittu, EFCC’s lawyer turned Magu’s defender understands their style, so why is he complaining now?

Ex-Lawmaker and human rights activist, Shehu Sani in his twitter c comment, liked what Fayose said.

Sani had earlier on Facebook revealed how he slept in cell when the EFCC arrested him even when he had opportunity to sleep in mosque.

Others defended Magu for his action while in office. A twitter enthusiast, in reply to Fayose said, without Ibrahim Magu, EFCC is an institution that would continue its works.
