Magu: Embattled former EFCC boss abandon cell, sleeps in mosque at FCID

The former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu spends nights sleeping in the Mosque inside the premises of Force Criminal Investigation Department at Area 10, Garki, Abuja.

Ibrahim Magu who was arrested on Monday and was detained on orders of Justice Ayo Salami-led Presidential panel has shunned Police cells, and choose to sleep in the mosque with police officers on watch, according to inside sources.

The mosque is in the premises of the CID where he has spent four nights now, but it couldn’nt be ascertain if he had notices of other criminals in the cell he was supposed to stay.

Sources revealed that his relatives have access to him as they have been bringing him food and wears. It was also observed that what Magu wore on Monday when he was arrested was not the cloth he put on as at Friday.

It was also observed that the FCID, Zone 10, has been well fortified since Magu was detained there and extra efforts have been made to scrutinize both officers and men working there including visitors.

Magu was expected to be arraigned in Court after investigation must have been concluded, but as at the time of filing this report, he has spent five days in Police custody.

Magu by rank is a Commissioner of Police.
