ISWAP terrorists in fresh attack displaces residents in Niger communities
Kafinkoro and other neighboring villages of Ishau, Kwakuti, and Sikiti Communities in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger have been displaced by gun men believed to be members of
Islamic State of West African Province.
The deadly terrorists group have permanently relocated to the Communities in their large numbers unleashing their deadly attack on locals who have already deserted their homes as a result of their continued havoc on the villagers.
Already the terrorist group have continued to wreak attack on the locals
killing and abducting villagers in their numbers unchallenged.
No fewer than 25 death have been recorded and over 55 persons mostly children and women were said to have been evacuated by the armed gang within the the last six days of their deadly
operation in the both Communities.
Among the dead, including five military men and some men of the vigilante group and their Commander, one Ahmed Salihu as well as some police personnel on routine patrol in the communities.
Women, children in their large numbers were seen trekking in a far distance to avoid the attacks of these deadly terrorist groups who are fully armed with sophisticated guns and other
dangerous weapons.
CAPITAL POST findings revealed that the armed group who move in large convoy of
motorcycles were said to have arrived the three villages numbering over sixty
with each carrying three passengers heavily armed to teeth.
Some part of Niger state have been placed under heavy siege of the continued deadly activities of these terrorists group who have so far displaced substantial number of villagers within Munya, Shiroro, Paikoro, Mariga Mahegu, Wushishi and Rafi Local government areas in the last
three weeks unabated.
The CAPITAL POST reported that some group of yet- to be identified gun men penultimate Saturday laid deadly ambush along Muya Kafinkoro Allawa axis killing three Soldiers who were on routine patrol on the area.
Early last week Tuesday, some heavily armed men were said to have operated for over three hours along Teggina Kontagora Mashegu high ways at the end four commercial busses and the occupants were said to have been abducted by the terrorist group.
The police Public Relation Officer ( PPRO) in Niger State Police Command Mr Wasiu Abiodun DSP could not be reached for his comment as several calls on his cellphone has not been going
through.
Mr Emmanuel Umar the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Niger state refused to pick several calls to his cellphone.
However, a youth leader in Kwakuti in Paikoro Local government area Musa Shaibu had in an interview with journalists in Minna on Friday confirmed that already, “our community is under serious attack of the activities of armed men.”
“We are appealing to the state government and other relevant authority to come for our rescue as our people have abandoned their homes for fear of attack of these heartless group of
terrorists.
