Member-elect, representing Oguta Federal Constituency of Anambra State, Engr. Dominic Ifeanyichukwu Okafor hinted on the 10th National Assembly as being a ‘game changer, as it is not going to be business as usual.
He spoke to newsmen on Thursday at the ongoing 10th NASS Induction Programme at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
He urged Nigerians to expect quality representation from the incoming assembly.
Engr. Okafor said, “Let me be very honest with you, we [Reps] are all listening to the Speakership aspirants. We are listening to what they have to offer to the House. Because, I tell you, the 10th Assembly is going to be a game changer. Nigerians are looking forward to us. Nigerians expect so much from us. So, I must tell you honestly that we are engaging with them [speakership aspirants] and at the right time we will be able to make the right decision.”
He said as a first-timer coming from the private sector, the induction programme has allowed him to learn a lot about legislative business.
Engr. Okafor said he left his comfort zone as a business executive to join politics because of his passion to serve his people.
He thanked his constituents for the confidence reposed in him by voting massively for him as their Representative.
Engr. Okafor promised to deliver democratic dividends and quality representation for his constituents
