One killed as Police rescues 58 kidnapped victims after gun battle

Relief came the way of 58 kidnapped victims after they were rescued by the Police operatives from Udulu forest, in Gegu community in Kogi Local Government area of the State.

The victims were kidnapped at different times from different locations and were kept in the forest which borders Sardauna forest, Nasarawa State, and other identified kidnappers den in communities contiguous to the Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement which was issued on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command Josephine Adeh on Sunday in Abuja, said kidnappers engaged the Police operatives in a shoot out.

The rescued victims have been taken for medical attention in an undisclosed medical facilities.
