Sudan war: 350 Nigerians arrive Aswan Airport, Egypt

The Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM on Wednesday said, 350 Nigeria citizens living in war ravaged Sudan have been evacuated from Khartoum, capital of Sudan and they have arrived at Aswan airport, Egypt.

This was confirmed by the the spokesperson for the Commission, AbdulRahman Balogun, said, “80 passengers would be airlifted by NAF C130 and Air Peace would airlift 274 passengers.

Change of Name

Earlier in the week the Commission has expressed concern over the stranded of African nationals that escaped from Khartoum to the Egyptian border, but were denied access by the Egyptian government which insisted on Visa before they could be allowed.
