Ebira Monarch charges Kogi APC governorship candidate, Ododo to ensure victory

The All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate in November, 2023, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has been charged to ensure victory by carrying stakeholders of the party along in his campaign.

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Ado Ibrahim gave this charge when Ododo alongside other party supporters and stakeholders paid him a Sallah homage at his Azad palace in Okene on Friday.

To achieve success, the monarch enjoined the flagbearer to remember that there, “are no permanent friends, no permanent enemies in politics”, noting that he should work assiduously with critical stakeholders across the three senatorial districts of the State.

The monarch expressed delight that Alhaji Usman Ododo who was the former Auditor-General of Kogi State emerged the flagbearer of the APC governorship ahead of November 11, 2023 election.

The king believed that the emergence of Ododo would consolidate on governor Yahaya Bello’s achievements.

“I am optimistic that the choice of Usman Ahmed Ododo will definitely bring enormous development to the state and for him to achieve that , he needs the support and cooperation of the people of the state” he said.

The royal father commended Governor Yahaya Bello for prioritizing security of lives and property throughout his tenure and pledged the support and cooperation of the traditional institution in making the state peaceful for the citizens.

Earlier, the APC flag bearer Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo , said the visit which was at the instance of governor Yahaya Bello was to seek the blessing of the royal father who had been praying for the success of the present administration.

He noted that in the last seven years Governor Yahaya Bello has been able to turn around the fortune of the state through the provision of critical social and infrastructural infrastructures, economic develoment and human capital development.
